It hooks onto the vehicle’s U-shaped door latches, providing a platform to stand on to reach the roof of your vehicle.

Rightline Gear Moki Door Step Story

Zach Brown is the New England-based paramedic/firefighter who invented the Moki Door Step. Zach and his wife are the adventurous sort who like taking part in many outdoor activities, both together and on their own. But Zach’s wife struggled to reach her vehicle’s roof top rack because of her height when she wanted to load up her snow skis. So after a few years of testing prototypes, Zach developed the Moki Door Step as a solution to this all too common problem.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, Zach decided to partner with Rightline Gear to bring the Door Step to national retail. Rightline Gear built upon Zach’s initial design to create the Rightline Gear Moki Door Step.

How the Rightline Gear Moki Door Step works:

The Door Step ($44.95) is universal to all vehicles and works in both the front and rear doors. Simply hook the Step over one of the vehicle’s U-shaped door latches to make an extra step up. The Step’s rubber bumper and coated hook protect your vehicle’s door frame. Store the Step in your vehicle’s center console, glove box, or spare tire compartment when not in use.
